off to new zealand!
going to new zealand for a short holiday tomorrow and will be back in about 8 days time! anyone wants anything there? :P haha.
heard alot about its beautiful sceneries and could not wait to witness them myself :)!
in the mean time if you are really bored you can browse through my old blog which is rather entertaining. just read some of them (probably because i was also bored haha) and realised that it contains quite a number of excitingly stupid and crazy entries lol.

there's gotta be more to life...
than playing maplestory.
seems like alot of my family members have fell victim to this game, including my father, which frustrates me the most. just to give some examples to illustrate the situation:
my cousin, shunxiang, kept giving hints that he wanted to go home when we went to watch yanying's musical on thursday. reason? he wanted to play maplestory from 2pm to 4pm everyday because he has got some cash card that would enable him to gain double experience points if he plays during that period of time everyday. okay even his blogs have got pictures of maplestory posted up.
another cousin, yangzhi, looked sickly when his mother brought him out for shopping and bought alot of clothes for him. reason? he wanted to stay at home to play maplestory and looked sad when he actually got new clothes.
now my father. everyday i came home or when i wake up and if my father is at home...this is what i see on the computer screen:

or images similar to that. he even bothered to read guides on the internet and wrote down alot of notes on this game (unfortunately on the calender so that calender is kinda vandalised?!) and EVEN printed on whole stack of information regarding the monsters in maplestory. never see him so enthusiatic when i asked him to help me photocopy or print my notes or stuffs, or on other issues such as researching on the best digital camera to buy or even spending the time researching on the best stocks to buy (could earn some money better than wasting time) since i know he buys shares.
even if he spends the same amount of time maintaining and writing a blog...i bet he could be a famous blogger now.
or help my mother with the housework...maybe he could be gain some inspiration from doing the housework and come up with something creative or even set up a cleaning company.
or reading newspaper! he could have gained so much knowledge and share with us some of them.
or taking up a part-time job?! since he has said before that his job is boring and there is nothing much for him to do in his office lol. then he could have earned some extra money and gain REAL EXPERIENCES instead of gaining useless, worthless EXPERIENCE POINTS in the game.
or spent the time exercising. bet he could be a marathon runner by now and do singapore proud lol.
or pick up a musical instrument such as the guitar so that he could have entertained us and also teach me how to play it after learning. with the amount of time spent he could have already been an intermediate guitar player.
or reading some books and gaining more wisdom. bet he could even be some local writer by now judging by the time spent on the game.
i guessed some gaming to unwind is okay...but i think they are all truly addicted though they don't want to admit that they are.
but for now, guess that unless some cure for maple addiction is invented, all these would only be a fantasy.
even as i am typing this entry, the same old maplestory gaming interface is staring at me from the monitor beside me AGAIN. sighhhh.

the music of the night
just came back from my cousin's primary school musical at university cultural center. the musical was really great for a primary school production...the actors and actresses could act better than most of us and all their songs are original and well-written! it was kind of touching seeing how the production team and the teachers from their school writing the script from scratch and having so much patience to train the little students to perfect their lines.

the phantom of the opera is returning to singapore next year on 23rd march and i hope to get to watch it on my birthday (4th april) next year! :) think i should start saving money now for the musical haha. oh i realised this is the first time i actually have a certain birthday wish...hope itcan be realised :).
going to school tomorrow morning...guess i gonna turn in soon. took quite a number of pictures this week of the 4A chalet, trip to vivocity and of course my cousin's musical...shall post them up next time if i have the time!
a video of my all-time favourite song "Music of the Night" from Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. time and again i would have got some favourite songs that i hear on 987 FM but NOTHING beats this song. first heard this beautiful piece when i was in primary school and until now i still have not got sick of the song. i remember a certain hwachong teacher (recognise him but don't know his name) sang it during this year's hwachong idol and it was so "emotionally provoking" i could feel goosebumps...enjoy the power of the music of the night.

random post
yesterday i had my mock piano examination. my piano teacher invited this old-looking man to be the examiner. so i was super nervous as usual because playing piano has ALWAYS not been my forte no matter how long i spend practising. so i kind of scraped through the two pieces that i was supposed to play and screwed up the scales portion.
"D major appeggio"
i don't know what was on my mind at that time and i blurly played D minor appeggio.
after which that man purposely instructed
"D minor appeggio"
okay so i realised i played the SAME THING again twice. i instinctly murmured "oh shit" while playing D minor appeggio, probably because i was influenced by Fergie's London Bridge which i have heard so many times and has got "oh shit...oh shit..." at the beginning of the song.
never mind that, the old man started laughing...possibly at how foolish i was.
so our trip to new zealand has been finally confirmed by CTC tour agency. long story there because that tour agency screwed up our previous tour plans and we have to go through so much hassle just to plan this trip. initially was going to both north and south island, considered going to USA but now we had to make do with only south island. nevertheless now that it is confirmed i am looking forward to the trip. luckily not going to south africa as suggested by the tour agency probably because no one wants to go and they want us to fill up the spaces for them LOL. departing on 28 November and coming back on 5 December. we get to have a city tour of sydney too during the flight transit...so yay!
i got into ntu h3 physics course! hope that i can cope and it wouldn't be too stressful for me next year...and they allow one to drop if one really cannot cope.

h3 classmates next year! don't know anyone of them except for ziye who is also from my class. :(
just read jonathan's blog and really wondered what is it like to have an older brother? my ideal sibling has always been a nice and cool older brother who'll take care of me and one whom i can share my secrets with. haha.

on a totally irrelevant note, really like jojo's new single "too little too late". listened to it on windows media player for the entire night yesterday on repeat mode for about 20 over times haha. her voice sounds really mature for a 16-year-old (or is it 15 i am not really sure). is it me but i thought she looks abit like lindsay lohan haha.

happy birthday angie!
today is angie's birthday...so HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGIE!

a super random photo that we took together when she dropped by hwachong before her dance class with kimmin. haha i looked like i have got vampire fangs with those rubber bands tying the braces together.
went to her house (which is relatively near mine) just now. everything has not changed since i last went a year ago except i got lost again and went to the wrong terrance house lol.

still remember those secondary school days when me, her and aaron (another rv friend who lives near angie along the same street) would go to limbang park occasionally for some random balls games and slacking-cum-gossip sessions followed by a visit to angie's house to play with her dog, woofie. although they are just simple outings to the park, i guessed such outings could not possibly happen now due to our own busy schedules plus the fact that all three of us are in different schools now. aaron is in nj, angie is in rj and i am in hc.
and of course thanks angie for tolerating my phone calls during the O levels period to discuss about how stress we were! LOL.
oh yeah, there is this entry that i wrote about how her dog freaked me out when i first went to her house but i could not seem to find it after searching through my old blog to put the link here. basically i was running and screaming until her dog chased me to a dead end. after that her dog ran around me and angie said it only wanted to play with me haha.
took a photo with her dog just now after learning how to befriend her dog. her dog looks kind of handsome, don't you agree?

quick post
it is almost 2am now and i could not believe that i am still awake!
hey just curious to find out with anyone reading this post whether you guys brush your teeth before breakfast or after breakfast? i usually do so after breakfast and my cousin thought it was very weird for me to do so. is it really weird? i thought everyone does that initially.

i just saw the cartoon somewhere online and i thought it struck a chord with my own experiences and the interesting resemblance with a picture i just took with big bro during the artemis fac outing. miss jacqueline yeo told me she thought i have grown taller but i don't think so. and i still cannot "blend" into conversations and don't really know what to talk except asking questions or things that does not seem to interest anyone.
oh no! i realised that even if i only sleep 7 hours it would be 9am tomorrow morning and i would be late for taekwondo!!! okay better go sleep NOW. night!

a very 65 week!
most of this week have been spent with my classmate. it has been quite a fun, tiring and enjoyable week.
had our class chalet from monday to wednesday.

the chalet was quite big with two rooms and i kept sleeping there. most importantly our class chalet is relatively CHEAP thanks to yuani's magnificant bargaining and planning skills. each of us only needed to pay 20 bucks for accommodation, bbq, a chocolate fondue plus a steamboat. i think that is quite a good deal! in addition, thanks to yuani's fabulous house-keeping skills again, we managed to prepare all the food in time and also keep the chalet reasonably clean.
all in all, it was quite a successful and fun chalet for our class to get together!
we invited quite a few teachers for the bbq and only mr ong came over to visit us. it was quite unexpected! i realised mr ong is actually quite a nice and friendly guy. okay, i should try to like his physics lessons in the future.

on thursday, i had my pw oral presentation which marks the end of the laborious pw journey.

group HI061 without jinjuan! that picture was taken probably 6 months ago while we were conducting some survey along orchard road. by the way think our group members rock and we all did a pretty good job for our op and written report as we had all put in our best effort. thanks to liu xin, jinjuan, mingming and yujun for tolerating my nonsense during pw meetings and also my ridiculous formatting expectations!

3035 or 1270 for 4D tomorrow anyone?
after that went out with a couple of my classmates to town for a mini post-pw celebration. went into a neoprint machine and took "pirated" neoprints because i think the "real" neoprints are totally costly and not worth the money.

we went into some random neoprint machine and took pictures with our handphones with the backgrounds provided! i think it looks pretty good, maybe better than those "real" neoprints.
man was the shopkeeper puzzled and mad at us when we came out of the neoprint machines and not "neoprinting" HAHA. i think these "pirated" neoprints are pretty cool. should take more in the future haha.

after that we went to catch STEP UP which is a fantastic teen dance flick. the dances in the movie are great, the lead actress (jenna dewan) is gorgeous and the storyline is simple but meaningful!
on friday went for our maths teacher miss huang's church wedding at some church near upper bukit timah road.
and guess what our class met at novena mrt and we WENT TO THE WRONG CHURCH!!! come to think of it it was rather hilarious because we entered the church and was quite puzzled when we found out that there wasn't any wedding ceremony going on there.
in the end we called miss huang only to realise we were at the wrong church and the correct church should be "church of the holy spirit".
so we took cabs and rushed down to the CORRECT church just in time for the ceremony. just imagine the scene of three taxis coming together and stopping outside the church with us running to the chapel.
the whole chapel was filled with students from hwachong and also sji because miss huang's husband is a teacher in that school. saw quite a number of familar faces there.

after that we went down to plaza singapura for some random window shopping.

my family of bloggers scholars?
it suddenly occurred to me that all my cousins are freaking smart and talented! i feel inferior when i compare myself to them! i realised that alot of my family members have got their own blogs too. so i decided to dedicate one entry to introduce all of them to you (if you are ever interested that is) since i am so bored now.

on the left is shunxiang, secondary one this year. he is in hci (high school section) iSpark consortium. scored A1 for ALL his subjects this year and he is gifted. WOW.
on the right is yanying, the drama-queen-girl-and-mean-girl-wannabe LOL. primary 5 this year and scored 90 plus for all her subjects. in addition she learns ballet, piano and guitar and is the lead dancer for her school's musical this year. WOW. i want to learn guitar from her.

on the right is yangzhi, primary two this year. topped his class this year and have tons of girlfriends in school LOL. WOW.

on the right is bryan, 4 years old this year and knows how to pose when taking pictures. he is really smart and cute!!! check out his mom's blog to know why. by the way his mother (my aunt) is pretty good with photoshop too! WOW.

opps sorry i have to abruptly end this post...because i suddenly remember i have got PW to do and class chalet matters to discuss. shall continue next time if i feel like continuing! (:

on the left is shunxiang, secondary one this year. he is in hci (high school section) iSpark consortium. scored A1 for ALL his subjects this year and he is gifted. WOW.
on the right is yanying, the drama-queen-girl-and-mean-girl-wannabe LOL. primary 5 this year and scored 90 plus for all her subjects. in addition she learns ballet, piano and guitar and is the lead dancer for her school's musical this year. WOW. i want to learn guitar from her.

on the right is yangzhi, primary two this year. topped his class this year and have tons of girlfriends in school LOL. WOW.

on the right is bryan, 4 years old this year and knows how to pose when taking pictures. he is really smart and cute!!! check out his mom's blog to know why. by the way his mother (my aunt) is pretty good with photoshop too! WOW.

these few days have been thinking alot about my actions and behaviour. a period of self reflection or self discovery i suppose...haha :)
however, i could not figure out what is the problem with me. the only thing is probably i always have very little confidence in myself
so other than that...i would just be myself i guess! :)
people change but how can i change accordingly?
shall end this post with a very old photograph of my aunt's wedding which i saw on her blog. that was me about ten years ago i think. haha.

still remembered vividly that shortly after i did an indiscriminate act by digging my nose and the whole process was caught on tape by the camera man who was filming a video record of the entire wedding day. LOL.
hey hope all my friends who are plagued with problems would get over them soon...it is the holidays afterall! ;)

explosives
i tossed and turned in bed but could not fall asleep so i decided to come online to drop a short post.
just now before i was about to lie down on my bed i heard these sudden loud "BOOM" exploding sounds below my block.
so i sat up on my bed and looked out of the window. saw a group of guys playing with explosive at this late hour. it was quite a cool sight actually, so i sat beside the window on my bed watching the mini fireworks "performance". soon it ended and the group of guys ran off, possibly to avoid being caught by the police. the night became peaceful and tranquil all of a sudden again.
my mind is like the explosives exploding with questions but i could not and should not ask them. "ask less, learn more."
it is very confusing...how can i learn without asking?
okay i shall try to get back to sleep again...with all the questions in my head.
